I have been fortunate enough to join a group of fantastically talented photographer’s to shoot a monthly series called “Kids Were Here”, originally started by the fabulous Ketti Photography. You can find the original pioneers of Kids Were Here at this link. Once a month I will be a part of a blog circle that will document the little pieces of evidence that kids were here.
“In the the moment is is easy to get frustrated with all the mess and clutter that results from living with children. This set reminds me how quickly it will all pass. One day the toys will be in totes no longer played with. I will miss this. I’m reminded to slow down. To not stress about it. My happiness is not dependant upon everything put back into place and a neat and tidy home.
One day we will have a wonderful reminder. Evidence left behind written upon our hearts and minds of our children. Photographs that will bring us back to this very day, when our kids were here.” -jude wood
No faces, no portraits. Just simple photographs that capture the spirit of childhood without ever showing the child.
And so, without further adieu, here is my evidence that yes, a little munchkin was here…
Now head on over to the insanely talented Kristi to see her Kids Were Here post for the month of July. And be sure to click through the whole circle!
Rebecca, I love how simple your photographs are! I think the toy under the counter is my favorite with the shoe being a close second!!
I really love the shoe shot. 🙂 I think it’s my favorite. But the last one with the plate is a close second, because that’s EXACTLY how my little guy is.
I love the simplicity of these! The toy behind the grown-up pillow…totally my house! Love!
Could be my house. Love all your images. Really like the perspective of the shot with the one shoe – the floor going diagonal. Great lines!
Rebecca, these are fabulous! And I love your tile – gorgeous!
Nice light on the shoe shot and great perspective on the car behind pillow. Great images Rebecca! And I love your kitchen floor :).
Fabulous!!!!! I really love how you capture the spirit of your house. I love the shoe shot but my fav is the car and pillow!!!!!
